Not Really it gives the game an edge so even if your against all odds you still have a chance

but I don't want to roll every turn

Why is it so annoying if youre a level 1 and youre facing a level 4 in this current system fuck that you have no chance same scenario in my system at least you have some what of a chance

but that kind of makes me not want to play anymore if I don't even have to try to gain levels. That's why dark is implementing a handicap system...

Youre still gonna win if you are level 5 facing 1 but come on what chance do they even have and whats the point of fighting if youre the best and someone says okay now you have half the life and half the damage and half the items just to make it fair

cuz it's a challenge, anyways you dont' have to fight someone that much higher level than you xD

If they Challenge you it gives them a chance and who cares there are always challenges just overcome the odds
