You don't go into battle with no armor, or it basically defeats the purpose of picking up armor items to temp increase defense, and having health.

If you had no armor, it'd be slash and character dies. Gash in his chest dead.
But with armor it will break and you get stabbed once health goes down the whole way. More realistic.

So it's more effective to have the new looks.

On the appearance take, they update all character looks, and weapons. Staying with the same thing would ruin the game. There already isn't much difference between the games, and that is the most diverse effect there is.

The old look is more fantasy, than non-fiction. Obviously this game shoots for having some reality to it seeing as there is true history intertwined, cultural props, and so forth. The old version is something you'd see on anime, newer is a bit more historical take, except the hair and bells.

BTW Gan Ning always had feathers on DW, just now he has them in black and a bit larger, than two gay pink ones in his hair. I'm sure it seems a little less fag to have the new feathers, he's probably represented as some bird type animal like some people are dragons, and lions, etc. Besides, we already have Zhang He, we don't need a second homosexual character.

You're the one who was complaining about them on other thread, only reason I said anyting, pointing out the fact your ignorance is more immense than the grand canyon. You freaked out cause he had feathers but you didn't notice the pink one on the old version.

Also his "Badass weapon" is the same weapon like 10 characters had on DW6, they wanted something more diverse. Not closed minded like you.

The two short swords make more sense anyways for a pirate, cause now he has the speed a pirate would have. It's more fun also, than swinging the bulky sword most characters have.

What im saying is he originated as a Pirate then they turn him into a knight looking guy...it just doesnt seem right.

I don't see him like a knight...knights have a hell of alot more armor and larger weapons, and possibly a shield. Zhou yu is now basically a knight, or Cao Ren. or Taishi Ci.

Pirates still wear armor, though not as much as new version. But they aren't dumb enough to go into battle with no armor, they're pirates, not barbarians.

Knights didnt wear shit loads of armor at first...they wore chainmail then they had plate on their legs than their chest and so forth..they had swords as well but still thats the version of the knight he seems
