Devil May cry is about a descendent of Sparda named Nero. All his demonic energy lies in his right arm.

What a fun ass button smasher game. Haha I absolutely loved playing this game. Some problems were that in between levels the way you buy new stuff and everything was compeletely like #3. The story is a little unique I guess, a church is corrupted, trying to take over the world by opening the hell gate and releasing demons into the world then using a giant floating "holy" statue to kill them all, when inside the statue it's actually a demon.

Nero and Dante both fall under your control. First nero which allows a new ability than most devil may cry games, you get to actually grab people and do combos from there. Dante has all of his styles like trickster, royal guard, etc for you to use. The boring part is that the parts with Dante is pretty much doing the same stuff nero did but backwards.

A new weapon that really caught my eye in this game was "Pandora" which looks like a suitcase from hell. It's supposed to be Pandora's box from Greek Mythology, and it can turn into 666 different weapons. Which makes no sense seeing as "666" is the mark of the beast from christianity, not Greek mythology. But in game you will get to use about 7 different forms and it's really fun, at first, to play around with it.

The battle system is pretty much like the rest, smashing square, triangle, and a little bit of circle. For some reason that is still fun.

I'd have to give this game an 8.4 which the graphics really help with the score.

Sparda is this Demon who basically was humanoid in figure but was like the greatest demon of all time. He hooked up with a human chick, which gave him love for humans and he used the Sword Yamato to lock up the Hell gates to the demon world, which basically allowed free access into the human world.

Dante is a direct descendant of Sparda, Father-Son
Nero is a descendant, one seeing as Sparda is the only demon to try and mate with a human(and one on the anime) but Dante even says something like "Sparda's blood runs through his veins) but it never reveals the exact position in the family tree.

Aha ok, that sounds like a pretty interesting game.

From greek myth....Pandora was married to a god..the god gave pandora box and told her NEVER To open it...one day she did...and ALL sorts of bad things came out..thus the reason there is 666 things to change....makes sense...no?

Yes, yes, I know the story, there is alot that deal with the box itself also. Like on GoW, and lots of different myths of people finding the box.

I know lots of fucked up stuff come out of it, but the 666 things was never mentioned in any of the stories I've read, I'm into Greek mythology alot btw, hence the Omega sign and my forums has a Greek theme.

Yeah but the Devil doesnt cry in it tho lol its a good game but the same Phrases and same music gets a little dull

It's called devil may cry because it's his store's name and he kills demons, which could resemble the devil.

Have you guys not listened? 666 is the mark of the beast, Lucifer's number. Christian Mythology. Pandora's Box is... Pandora's box, Greek Mythology. So they intertwined two different belief systems into making a weapon.
